Immerse Yourself in Giant Panda Rearing and Sichuan Street Life
Within one day, from the Giant Panda Breeding Base to old Chengdu city, visit panda conservation and breeding facilities, experience Chengdu’s street culture, and enjoy the night view of Jinjiang River.
After visiting the panda breeding base, return to downtown Chengdu to experience local street life. Enjoy afternoon tea, learn how locals play mahjong, and watch a traditional non-material cultural heritage performance—Sichuan Opera Face-Changing.
As night falls, take a cruise boat to admire the scenic views along both banks of the Jinjiang River.

Morning: Giant Panda Breeding Base
Your journey begins at 9:00 AM upon arrival at the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base—the world’s largest relocation protection and scientific breeding base for giant pandas. The base houses the largest population of giant pandas globally. You can observe pandas’ daily lives up close in semi-wild enclosures, and under the guidance of your tour guide, visit the panda cub nursery and playground. In addition to giant pandas, you’ll also find red pandas, peacocks, and other animals contributing to a rich ecological environment.

Afternoon: Chengdu Street Life
Tea drinking, mahjong, and Sichuan opera are all everyday pastimes for Chengdu residents. Sip tea while learning how to play mahjong or enjoy a live Sichuan opera performance—a truly relaxed and comfortable afternoon.

Evening: Jinjiang River Cruise View
After dinner, board a cruise boat to enjoy the stunning night scenery along the Jinjiang River. Under the night sky, the docks sparkle with lights and the aroma of delicious food fills the air. Colorful light shows and immersive waterfront performances make Dongmen Pier both dazzling and unique.
