Dujiangyan Scenic Area

Dujiangyan is a hydraulic engineering project that has been in continuous operation for over two millennia, located at Gongyuan Road, Dujiangyan City, Chengdu. Constructed under the leadership of Li Bing and his son during the Warring States Period, it still irrigates millions of acres of fertile farmland across the Chengdu Plain today. The scenic area consists of three main components: Yuzui Diversion Dam, Feisha Yan Spillway, and Bao Pingkou Water Inlet, ingeniously utilizing topography and water flow to achieve automatic diversion, sand discharge, and flow regulation. It is hailed as the "ancestor of world hydraulic culture." Strolling through Li Dui Park, one can witness the mighty Min River rushing by and see the Anlan Rope Bridge spanning across. Climbing Mount Yulei offers a panoramic view of the entire irrigation district. Combined with a visit to Qingcheng Mountain, you can experience ancient wisdom and the serene tranquility of Daoist "caves of immortals and blessed lands" all within a single day.
