Tiantai Mountain

Tiantai Mountain is an ideal destination for mountain hiking, summer cooling, and chasing fireflies. It is also a rare ecological scenic area near Chengdu that combines Danxia landforms with waterfalls. The scenic area is renowned for its four wonders: 'unusual mountains, beautiful waters, serene forests, and strange rocks.' The highest peak, Yuxiao Peak, reaches over 1,800 meters in elevation, with an average summer temperature of only 20°C, making it the top choice for Chengdu residents to escape the heat. Activities such as hiking along the 18-li Fragrant Grass Gully, playing in the Butterfly Beach, and paying respects at Leyin Temple form a rich variety of routes. From June to August each year, tens of thousands of fireflies dance among the mountains, earning it the title of the "Firefly Kingdom of the East."
