Xiling Snow Mountain

Xiling Snow Mountain derives its name from Du Fu's famous line 'The window frames the thousand-year snow of the Western Ridge.' Located in Xiling Town, Dayi County, Chengdu City, it is about 110 kilometers from the city center and is the only mountain resort near Chengdu where visitors can enjoy snow viewing and skiing. The main peak, Miaoji Ling, reaches an altitude of 5,364 meters, making it the highest peak in Chengdu. The scenic area combines snow-capped mountains, forests, sea of clouds, Buddha's light, and alpine meadows. It is ideal for skiing in winter and for escaping the summer heat, making it a perfect destination year-round. Riding the Yuanyangchi Gondola upward offers views of the mystical Yin-Yang Boundary; ascending to Ri Yue Ping, the sea of clouds rolls like a fairyland. The winter ski area features professional slopes rare in southern China, attracting countless skiing enthusiasts. In summer, it becomes a paradise for rhododendron viewing and hiking.
