Pengzu Mountain

Pengzu Mountain is one of the birthplaces of China's longevity culture. It is traditionally believed to be the place where Pengzu, an ancient Taoist practitioner of health preservation, cultivated and was buried, earning it the reputation of 'Hometown of Longevity'. Historical relics such as the Tomb of Pengzu, Pengzu Temple, Yünnü Cave, Huiguang Temple, and the Qishan Twin Buddhas are scattered throughout the mountain. Among them, the Qishan Twin Buddhas are a pair of seated statues of Sakyamuni Buddha and Dibao Buddha carved into the cliff face during the Tang Dynasty, displaying grandeur and majesty. The mountain is densely forested with fresh air, and the combination of Tai Chi Square, Health Preservation Walking Trail, and Longevity Culture Experience Park forms a route for 'climbing to pray for blessings + health and leisure', making it a representative short-distance wellness tourism destination in Meishan.
