Bifengxia · Exploring the Verdant Valley
Waterfalls cascading, all life in harmony
Depart Chengdu at 07:30 to Ya'an Bifengxia.

Niubeishan · Summit of the Cloud Sea
At the peak of all mountains, behold the world in full view
Depart Luding at 07:00 for Niubeishan. Named for its summit’s cliff resembling a cow’s back, Niubeishan is hailed as ‘China’s largest viewing platform,’ reaching an altitude of about 3,660 meters. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks, it offers panoramic views of Mount Gongga, the Four Girls Mountains, and Emei’s Golden Summit.
Take the scenic shuttle up the mountain, where vegetation changes with elevation—from primeval forests to alpine meadows—before finally breaking through the clouds to reach the summit. Afternoon cloud seas often blanket the plateau, turning distant peaks into islands floating in a sea of mist, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
In the evening, stay on the platform to witness the sunset—clouds painted gold-red by the fading light, snow-capped peaks edged in fire. At night, gaze up at the Milky Way under the pristine, star-filled sky free from light pollution.
Stay overnight at a mountain-top hotel, drifting off to sleep beneath the stars.
