Ya'an

As the "Western Gateway" of Sichuan Basin, Ya'an lies beside the Qingyi River and leans on the Qionglai Mountains, with mist shrouding its peaks and continuous drizzle falling year-round, earning it the name "City of Rain." It is the scientific discovery site of giant pandas, the origin of global tea culture, and a thousand-year-old key town along the Tea-Horse Ancient Road. From the endearing national treasures in Bifengxia to the vast tea plantations veiled in clouds atop Mengding Mountain, from the milky-white, fresh broth of Ya'an clay-pot fish to the rain-stained cobblestones of Shangli Ancient Town—Ya'an blends the grace, depth, and vitality of western Sichuan into a single city wrapped in misty rain.
